What is Classical Pilates? |
Classical Pilates exercise is taught the way Joseph Pilates originally intended. It addresses the individual as a whole creating a system of precision movements that connect each other with breath and flow. It strengthens the core muscles, improves mental alertness, posture and agility. Pilates promotes muscular balance, flexibility and compliments everything else you do.
Pilates is vigorous and challenging yet leaves you feeling refreshed and uplifted. Not tired and sore. Pilates is NOT Yoga. It is NOT dance or physical therapy. Classical teachers have many hours of intense training through reputable Pilates training centers. A minimum of 450 hours and as much as 1000 hours is invested to receive quality certification.
“Rome was not build in a day and patience and persistence are vital qualities in the ultimate success of any worthwhile endeavor.” Joseph Pilates
