Judy is a graduate of Boston's Fisher College Physical Therapy Assistant degree program in 1997 and a board certified therapist both in MA and AZ. She specialized in outpatient orthopedic injuries for over a decade successfully integrating Pilates based exercises as a corrective treatment option for back, neck and pelvic injuries with profound results. Judy is also a specialist and is certified in the John Barnes Myofascial Release Technique, a manual theraputic treatment approach to pain.

After being exposed to the true work of Joseph Pilates with first generation teacher and Pilates elder Mary Bowen, Judy continued her Pilates training and certification with the internationally recognized Peak Pilates classical training center based in Boulder, CO.  In addition to ongoing Pilates workshops Judy studies weekly with second and third generation teachers.

A well-known trainer in the local fitness arena, she has

held AFAA fitness certifications while teaching aerobics, step and kickboxing classes for over 20 years.  After discovering Pilates life altering benefits in herself her clients, and a strong commitment to change, Judy opened the Easton Pilates Studio in 2004.

With a background in voice and movement from the Boston Conservatory of Music, Judy likens the discipline of Pilates training to the rigorous training she had at the Conservatory. Like my voice and movement training, Pilates teaches awareness which connects us to a higher level of consciousness were change can only happen. Without awareness there can be no change.  After years of suffering debilitating back pain from a car accident and poor physical training habits, I tried numerous rehab options without success. After researching the Pilates method I argued what could I lose. I had tried everything else explains Judy. To my amazment my back finally healed She truly believes in the body's own wisdom to heal itself. Given the right tools.
